New reviews from The Other Side, Kimu and Plastic Mag

Three new reviews of “How the Hell?” went live today.  The first is from The Other Side Reviews, a UK-based music blog.  They recognize an important and intended dichotomy in my song.  On the one hand they describe the music as follows:  Pumped full of pop-rock passion, there is a nostalgic flair to this debut track leaning toward the best of 90s rock.”  But as for the lyrics:  Filled with despair, fear, inner conflict and frustration, Unca John has found the theme song for the midlife crisis.”

The second comes from KIMU (an acronym for Karl Is My Unkle), a US-based arts and culture blog.  They note that “The piece demonstrates poetic prowess with its prose, and an intentional approach to songwriting, which delivers catharsis and empowerment for both artist and listener, as well as a timeless energy that we cannot get enough of.”

Finally, the UK-based Plastic Mag shows a lot of understanding of where my project is coming from, writing:
“Unca John’s enduring songwriting talent takes centre stage, further propelled by the advancements in music      technology that have liberated artists from the confines of instrumental limitations.”
